It’s a compact, foldable device that weighs 320 grams, or 0. 7 pounds. It’s a famed change from the company’s last flagship drone, the Bebop 2, which didn’t fold and weighed 500 grams. Parrot says it’s made a multitude of improvements in the two years since the Bebop 2’s on, including a better connection system and upgraded camera. The Anafi features a 21-megapixel camera on a 180-limit tilt gimbal. It records in 4K HDR at 30 fps or 1080p HDR at 60 fps. Parrot says the cameras can zoom up to three times, but only up to two times while still supporting Very HD quality shots. Within the company’s new app, photographers can choose between taking a 21- or 12-megapixel photo and can mediate their video modes. The Anafi supports hyper-lapse, which will speed footage up to 240 times. and a maximum frame rate where users can choose to film up to 60 fps. Like other drones on the market, the Anafi can now appreciate users around and take their photo using body recognition technology. We’ve always got to have our drone selfies. The drone should be able to last for 25 minutes on a solitary charge, although the battery can be swapped out. An extra battery costs $99. The battery charges over USB-C and is compatible with lecherously charging. Still, it’ll take an hour and a half to reach full capacity. The smart battery should detect when it’s continuous low on juice and warn its users how much life it needs to get back home, which will be useful if it can maintain its connection. While flying, it’ll reach up to 32mph in its recreation mode and is wind resistant up to 33mph. All the controls and features are accessed through the drone’s new app: FreeFlight 6. Android or iOS phones fit into the drone’s controller, with the phone having to be physically connected at the end of one's tether with a USB-A cable. Parrot says this is for lossless, constant video streaming. Users can either use the digital controls on their phone while flying or the woman joysticks. they’ll also land the device through the phone. The Anafi is supposedly 35 percent quieter than its antecedent, which seems believable to me. I tried the drone out in a small conference room, and the sound didn’t immediately annoy my ears. It certainly still has that drone sound, however, and people in the office could hear it through glass panes. Now, the biggest thing Parrot needed to address was its connectivity improvements. The Bebop 2 struggled to hold its phone connection and often lost the signal. Parrot says it’s since added antennas to each foot of the drone (four total) and to the controller to claim its Wi-Fi pairing. I haven’t had a chance to put the drone to the test just yet, but Parrot tells me this connection. Source:

Parrot Bebop 2 Power periodical - Stuff

If you weigh you’ve seen this drone before, you’re not wrong. We first reviewed the Parrot Bebop 2 way back in 2016, awarding it four stars, and rather than a brand new model, the Bebop 2 Power is a new combination. The base drone is the same (a 14MP camera with 3-axis stabilisation, 8GB of non-expandable storage) but there’s a new paint job, new battery (two of them in fact) and a new controller in the box, as glowingly as a headset for first-person view (FPV) flying. In our original review, we bemoaned the Bebop 2’s choppy connection and substandard camera superiority, so we’re eager to see if Parrot has remedied this issues in the 18 months since. As far as we can tell, the quadcopter is mechanically the same as the 2016 Bebop 2, with one disagree with: the Power drone has a natty all matte black finish rather than the original’s two-tone livery. The lack of sawbones tweaks is no bad thing. the Bebop 2 is still a lightweight, sturdy and compact model, and flies well enough. There are more portable drones that have behoove available since the release of the original Bebop 2, though - most notably the excellent DJI Mavic Air. This model’s lack of folding rotor arms, together with the bulky size of the new controller’s antenna, mean that it’ll require a sizeable bag or carry case to lug around well. With one-button take-off and landing, you just tap a button on the controller and the drone will start up its motors, rise to a height of about 1. 5m and around there. Tap it again while the drone’s in flight and, wherever it is, it’ll descend to the ground and cut out the rotors. There’s also a GPS-powered return-to-home button (not as accurate as DJI’s process, but still acceptable as long as you set off from a reasonably open area), but nothing in the way of collision detection. Our original review cutting out the Bebop 2’s transmission problems, which meant that its signal became choppy once it got to about 50-100m from the user, and cut out completely a undersized further out. That’s really not acceptable for a drone in this price bracket, but thankfully the new Sky Controller 2 is far better, extending the range so that you can fly at least 300m or so without wondering when it’s all succeeding to start failing. Kudos to Parrot for fixing that. The twin-stick controls are easy to use and the drone responds swiftly to inputs, singularly in Sport mode (the other flight mode, Video, is slower and more stable). The new batteries each provide up to 30 minutes of departure time per charge (about five minutes more than the original models), and there’s two in the box. Aside from the new batteries and controller, the Power away also includes a pair of FPV goggles. Insert your smartphone (running the companion app, natch) into these, adjust the lenses until things are unclouded you’ll get a view from the drone’s nose beamed direct to your eyeballs. It works well enough with smaller phones, but using a 5. 7in OnePlus (hardly the largest of handsets) I couldn’t get a limpid image, no matter how much I fiddled with the pupillary distance sliders. With FPV drone flight being legally dubious in the UK (at least in notorious places), it’s hard to get either too excited or too upset by the performance of these simple, Google Cardboard-like goggles. The camera, sad to relate, is far from impressive. Source:
